THE PROCESS
Naturally Better Soil Products uses natural materials and two natural biological processes to make natural products that are better for your soil. Our plant-based ingredients come from our dairy and swine farm operations. The cows and pigs eat a variety of crops - many of which are grown on our farms - to produce food. They also produce manure!

FIRST STEP
Every day at both Scenic View and Brook View Dairy, the manure is fed to
fully-enclosed tanks to undergo the natural biological process of anaerobic digestion (AD). The large tanks are kept at the ideal temperature using waste heat from
on-farm electrical generation for the natural microbes to decompose the manure and produce methane-rich biogas for renewable energy. The natural microbes produce rich, organic solids containing concentrated natural plant nutrients and beneficial microbes - ideal for naturally healthier soil!
SECOND STEP
In our new facilities, these solids undergo a second natural biological process - aerobic composting. Here, a second set of natural microbes complete the decomposition process to produce a
safe-to-handle, stable product that looks and smells like soil! Aerobic composting further concentrates the natural plant nutrients and adds to the mix of beneficial microbes to our products.
THIRD STEP
Nature does it all – just blend our general purpose natural organic fertilizer with your soil to improve the soil biology and provide plant nutrients that are available when the plant needs them. Fallow ground becomes fertile, crops thrive. Gardens and potted plants are healthier and more colorful.
